Indiana University Freaks Out Over KKK Member On Campus, Oops Just A Friar

Last night, Indiana University went into panic mode when the KKK overtook campus, spreading hate and fear and leaving crying children and dead goats in its wake. Kids went to social media to spread the message to current students to be on the lookout for a man out there looking to lynch everyone in sight.

This caused an RA to send out an email warning his residents to keep their heads on swivels.

Here is the klansman running rampant on campus:

That man getting yogurt? Yeah, that’s Fr. Jude McPeak, O.P., a Dominican friar and an Associate Pastor/Campus Minister at IU’s St. Paul Catholic Center. Turns out some idiot thought that the man wearing his friar robe and carrying his rosary was a klan member rocking a whip ready to inflict some pain.

The RA who sent out the email then posted on his Facebook to clear up the confusion. The Tab captured the post.

“Behold, your ‘klansmember….’

“This is what happens when there is miscommunication. So what happened tonight goes like this: a person saw white robes and what looked to them like a weapon, got scared (rightfully so), warned people, warned staff, which in turn caused me to warn my residents because I need to look out for my residents, which in turn made it spread.

“Then my residents, terrified, come running to me, saying yeah the report must be true, they saw him and couldn‘t believe there was a klansmember with a whip. And I see this picture. It’s a priest. With a rosary.

“Now, I get it why a person would be scared. There in fact HAVE been klansmembers on the campus spurting hate speech, but never have they been reported with a weapon. So yeah, if it was in fact a weapon and a threat, it’s a good thing to warn a friend. So when someone warns other people, we need to be cautious. However, what I’ve learned from this is to take anything with a grain of salt. In the future, I’m still sending my residents warnings of threats, crime, hate gatherings, and all that but I will wait for a confirmation. But now that there is no danger I can say: this is a hilarious miscommunication.”

How do you make that mistake? What shoulda tipped them off that this man wasn’t a member of the Klan was the fact that the man was getting frozen yogurt. Oh, and the fact that there wasn’t a giant red X on the Friar’s outfit. People, man.

If we would shut down some of the racism in Greek life, maybe we wouldn’t get blamed so much

Maybe if people didn’t try to create fake racism, this shit wouldn’t happen in the first place.

IU has a vibrant Greek scene but overall the school is nauseatingly liberal. With all the hipsters and nut-cracking feminists roaming about, I wouldn’t be surprised if the next PC safe-space debacle happens there soon
