Inside TFM, Ep. 35: Grab Her By The Podcast
This week we debate “Trump’s locker room talk,” give a statement about Boosh and the rest of our writers — you can read a FULL statement on the events of the last few days from our CEO Madison here, tell an embarrassing porno at work story, play the game “Is This PC Controversy Real or Fake,” and there are no hotline calls this week because our producer Ham fucked up and lost the final 20 minutes of the podcast.
Madison going with the shitty boyfriend approach. Stops doing everything you love (forums, rush boobs, etc), gives the writers the “it’s not you it’s me”, then gives the people the “it’ll get better I promise, just stay with me, we’re not going anywhere”. Flawless execution.
8 years ago at 10:55 amSo what you’re saying is the guy who invented “TFM” just pulled a big TFM. I respect it. Plus, as Madison mentioned in a DDB podcast, if you get hired by a startup, always take the initiative and try to help the company make money… It’s an unpaved road so always stay woke on the direction of the company. If you’re a writer, surely you know that at some point this is going to end. You’re not gonna be 50 years old putting your kid through college by writing about eating ass. Now, I have no idea where office politics and seniority plays into this but if any of these writers were fully invested in the business, they’d probably understand that the entire writing staff for all sites got paid far more than they were worth(or they’d still be here)and volunteering or pushing management to get involved on the ecommerce side of things might have been a ticket to stay, but again, I have no idea if that was a viable option. If I were writing for TFM and I saw a handful of full time TSM writers getting paid and creating zero revenue for Man Outfitters and practically nothing for RG, I’d be a little concerned about my job security and the business decisions from upper management.
8 years ago at 3:23 pmSo does this mean that Rush Boobs are coming back?
8 years ago at 11:01 amHey, I have an idea! In order to make this site better how about get rid of all of your best content! Oh wait….
8 years ago at 11:04 amHonestly, this could be a good thing – Bacon/Dorn writing more might mean a return to the TFM of old. Sure there’ll be more Wally articles, but maybe the overall spirit of the site, which has been missing for a while, might be coming back.
8 years ago at 12:06 pmI dunno. Having dudes in their 30’s write about a lifestyle they left a decade ago……..
8 years ago at 2:24 pmI do enjoy the articles about Todd Storm and also the Frat Romance novels. Too bad those are few and far in between….
I get that the chicks had to go, most of them took days to produce a single, sorry “list” article, but the dudes you fired were actually producing. IBOTD was the primary reason to check this site every day.
8 years ago at 12:50 pmSo ordering a 100,000 harambe shirts and selling maybe 100 of them after paying a bunch of staff writers a salary to promote them didn’t work out? What a surprise.
8 years ago at 2:25 pmBring back boosh or I’ll kill myself
