Rurik Jutting, a Cambridge-educated investment banker, had himself a hell of a Halloween night. Just hours after he posted “Money DOES buy happiness” on his Facebook wall, he called the police and confessed to two murders that took place in his $3,200 per month high-rise Hong Kong apartment. Days earlier, he had slit a hooker’s throat in his living room and left her there to bleed out.

The dead prostitute wasn’t even the only dead prostitute in his apartment. Another one lie on his balcony, rotting away and stuffed in a suitcase.

The 29-year-old former Merrill Lynch financier lived a life reminiscent of Patrick Bateman from “American Psycho.” He had a similar career, enjoyed the finer things in life, regularly dined at upscale restaurants with beautiful women, and obviously there’s the whole slicing up hookers and stashing their bodies in his apartment thing.

The dead hooker on the balcony had apparently been dead for quite some time. His neighbors complained of a dead hooker odor emitting from his residence before he called police to turn himself in. Jutting was soon arrested on murder charges. Police discovered the two dead bodies, both believed to be Indonesian prostitutes, as well as sex toys and cocaine.
