OCS graduation, the only 8 weeks worse than pledgeship. TFM.

Are you kidding me? The easy way to commission would be to go to a ROTC at a small university. OCS is no laughing matter.

    2. OfficerAndAGentleman

^Agreed. ROTC at a small university might be a bit of a drag, but the 12 weeks of OCS are shit awful.

Navy OCS(Officer Candidate School): 12 weeks
      Army OCS: 14 Weeks
Air Force OTS(Officer Training School): 12 Weeks
Marine Corps OCS: 10 weeks or two 6 weeks sessions

Midshipman in the NROTC program that want to be Marines have to go to OCS regardless. Nice going there Ricky. Douche.

We all know Ricky hasn’t served.

The only worth-while officers are from OCS and the Military Academies. If you did ROTC you’re a vagina unless it was Texas A&M.

There is no denying that Texas A&M has top tier ROTC programs, but the problem with their commissioned officers is that they all think they are God’s gift to this earth.

As an OCS canidate for the Marine Corps, the way it works would be one 10 week session in the summerif you are selected past the screening, or given a bid to go, however you want to look at it. during which time you learn how to lead Marines, how you react to things in the field when a plan goes wrong. Marine Officers are heavily required to do more than your average Marine. During this 12 week session about 33% of canidates drop out because they can’t handle it. root out the weak officers. BOSS, very true.

Sigma Raw, you’re right. The Marines arguable have the best combat officers. Guys from ROTC should only be allowed to pick non-combative MOSs’.

These shitheads that do watered down ROTC programs and try to lead 20 year olds that have already been to Iraq or Afghanistan end up doing more harm then good.

        ROTC. NF
        OCS. FaF
Being in the service myself, ROTC creates GDI retards, which most are horrible officers. Now OCS officers are some of the best i’ve seen in my years. Marine corps is the hardest OCS there is.

      Army Mustang,
Marine ROTC goes through OCS. They join a regular platoon in OCS just like everyone else. They get taught by gunneys, master sergeants and first sergeants. Their ROTC program may be watered down, but they still get their balls hazed off in OCS.

armymustang- the midshipmen who go to a&m think they’re the shit but in all reality they arent any better than the other big universities with nrotc programs

the only Marines that don’t go to OCS are Academy grads. And anyone that has shit to say about those who step up to defend our country, whether they went to OCS, ROTC, an Academy, or not is an absolute shit head. Whomever takes that oath obviously deserves the respect of this country, it’s a lot bigger sacrifice than most of you will ever make.

Or you could just go to college, get a degree in something worth while and actually get selected to finish the ROTC program after your MS II year. OCS is still better than going to West Point, which is by definition NF.

Fuck these kids Semper FI, though your friend looks like he’s going to a fucking horse race. Also looks like a real doucher in the bow tie.

First off I said Semper FI, and I am and have been a Marine since I was 17, and unlike almost everyone on this site have been in combat. Second clearly I’m making fun of his gay friend in the bow tie.

I agree, Lynchem. I don’t mind the bow tie but he looks like a fucking ass clown with that hat.
