USC’s Blind Long Snapper Is Better At Golf Than Most Of Us Could Ever Hope To Be
Not since Rudy has there been a more inspirational story out of college football than University of Southern California long snapper Jake Olson. Olson is legally blind after battling cancer as a teenager, but that hasn’t stopped him from having the heart of a champion, as he made a D-1 college football roster.
Well, it turns out Olson is a SportsCenter Top 10 entry in more ways than one. Olson went to the alcoholic adult playground known as TopGolf recently and showed he can absolutely crush a golf ball with the best of ’em. While some of us need to be rescued by protective netting there, Olson is dinging long balls like a seasoned PGA pro.
Dude is legally blind and still athletically superior to almost everyone reading this in not one, but two skill sports. He’s basically a Bo Jackson of things I suck at. If a video of him hitting a three-point shot in basketball surfaces on the internet next week, I wouldn’t even be surprised..
