Jalen Rose’s 100-Year-Old Grandma Just Dunked On Sister Jean

I know I’m not the first to say it and I’m sure as hell not the first to think it, but Sister Jean has been getting a little too big for her britches lately. I mean, just look at her. Strutting her stuff like she’s single handedly responsible for Loyola-Chicago’s fluke NCAA tourney run. Acting like she’s the the best nun to grace this planet since Mother Teresa. Give me a break!

Despite the undeniable truth of my analysis, many are afraid to articulate any sort of criticism against Sister Jean, considering that she’s A) very old and B) a woman of the cloth. So, it’s only fitting that Mary Belle Hicks, the 100-year-old grandmother of Jalen Rose, — who, being two years older than Sister Jean, is not only wiser but also closer to God — was the one to finally put elderly Ramblers fan in her place with an electric promo video.

Loyola-Chicago, the surprise team of the Final Four, takes on Michigan on Saturday (6:09 p.m., TBS). And while John Beilein is working on a defensive game plan for the Ramblers, one U-M supporter has Sister Jean covered.

Meet Mary Belle Hicks. She’s the 100-year-old grandmother of Jalen Rose, one of the famed Fab Five members.

Rose made an Instagram post late Sunday of Hicks and a message for Sister Jean.

Talk that shit, Mary Belle! Talk that shit! This IG video no doubt has every Michigan fan (myself included) on a hype level of a thousand billion trillion. Think about it. The only thing Loyola-Chicago had going for it was the cute, old lady gimmick. Then, in comes Michigan with not only a cuter, older lady, BUT ALSO the grandma of Michigan legend Jalen Rose. Much like the Netflix original movie starring the Workaholics dudes (which I highly recommend, by the way), this shit is game over, man.
