James Harrison Returns His Kids’ Participation Trophies, Has A Message For Soft Americans

Thirteen years, five Pro Bowls, and two Super Bowl championships after going undrafted out of Kent State in the 2002 NFL Draft, and Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison is still somehow chugging along collecting checks. How is this dude still in the league? HARD WORK, of course. Always EARNED, never given.

He just strikes me as the kind of guy who listens to Eric Thomas motivational speeches on loop during his workouts. “The day you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful!”

Harrison is now passing along his resentment for entitlement to his kids, who received participation trophies yesterday from Next Level Athletics. He was having none of it. Not in his house.

Boom! Roasted! Our boy from the top rope dropping the hammer on candy ass, trophy giving liberals with the knockout “sorry I’m not sorry” blow. I’m all in on the #HarrisonFamilyValues

As a Ravens fan, I can say that this man was always a badass when he played, and this man may save America.

What a nut case. Participation trophies were what showed me that I didn’t have to be the coolest, or most athletic. It’s all about effort! Everyone should be rewarded, not just the top 1%.

Losers whine about doing their best. Winners go home and fuck the prom queen.

If TFM didn’t believe in participation trophies they’d hurry up and #BlackballSteveHolt.

No, having to hangout with the pussies you initiate does not count as hazing.

As an old-school, traditional SigEp, I absolutely agree with you. If I ever have a son, I’m gonna tell him to rush SigChi or KA like his granddad.

At his age, the way he still continues to work so hard to improve his craft while encouraging others around him to do the same makes him a true testament to the city of Pittsburgh. Those kids are going to grow up to be some serious savages and are going to earn their bids. #Deebo4Prez

So many problems in this country could be solved if more people had that same attitude.

Dorn would ask these little kids if they want to see the trophies in his room

Kids aren’t that stupid. They’re going to notice if everyone gets an award and realize that it wasn’t a special accomplishment or a handout.
