Jim Harbaugh Has Very American Response To SEC Coaches Who Don’t Like His Satellite Camps

Jim Harbaugh Has Perfect Response To SEC Coaches Who Don't Like His Satellite Camps

Jim Harbaugh has been making splashes in college football since his return from his stint with the 49ers. Jim is winning over just about everyone in Ann Arbor these days. Between turning around the recruiting efforts at Michigan to finishing 4th in the student presidential election, he is doing it all.

There are a few guys that haven’t been too pleased that Jimbo has burst onto the scene, and those guys reside in SEC country. See, Jim decided that it’d be a grand idea to host Michigan satellite football camps around the country for kids to learn the game of football, do a little coaching, and he won’t admit to it, but do a little recruiting too. It’s a pretty smart move if you ask me.

Dan Mullen, however, thinks it’s a crappy idea because he’s more than likely worried about how he’s going to do after a fluke season.

From USA Today:

“I imagine, if Jim Harbaugh was going to have a camp, he would want to coach the kids in Michigan, the young kids in Michigan, maybe how to be better football players. … So why do they need one all over the place? The only purpose for it is recruiting. I don’t think it’s the right purpose for camps.”

Harbaugh has even drawn the ire of the devil himself, Nick Saban, among others. He had this to say about it though, and dammit he is right.

“In my America, you’re allowed to cross the state borders,” Harbaugh says. “That’s the America I know.”

Mic dropped. How can you respond to that without coming off as a commie? You can’t. Score one more for Jim.

Judging by the total amount of laps being taken on this thread, Harbaugh must know how to put on a half decent camp.

Brilliant move by Jimbo. Having said that, OSU will still kick their ass this year.

I’m going to get lapped but that’s fine. Michigan sucks? Really? You mean the top public university in the world, with the one of the three wealthiest global alumni bases, and 37 programs ranked in the top 10 nationally? Or do you mean athletically? Like the football program with the most wins in the history of college football, the longest bow streak ever, the most conference championships in history, the highest winning percentage of all time, and oh yea Tom Brady played there too. They fired me and i still don’t say such stupid shit.

I read your comment and after careful deliberation I have concluded that, yes, Michigan sucks.

Virginia would probably be considered the top public university and I believe Notre Dame is the winningest football program of all time.

From about five seconds of googling you should’ve been able to tell that that Michigan is #4 behind cal, ucla, and then Virginia. They are also number one in wins, by nearly 30 too. Oh and ND is number three in wins also behind Texas.

According to Wikipedia Notre Dame has won 882 times to Texas’ 881. I should also mention Notre Dame has the highest win percentage behind some random school in Texas.

Michigan has the top public education in business and engineering, the only majors that create jobs anymore, so even though Virginia may have been ranked higher because of liberal arts studies, Michigan provides more to America in terms of gdp and job growth, therefore is a better school

I’m sorry but when was the last time Michigan beat a good team, much less its own shitty B1G schedule?

Funny that the guy singing the praises of Michigan is using the name of their fatass former hack of a coach. Don’t be afraid to hit an occasional salad bar, coach.

Not a lot of talent in the state of Michigan so he has to focus his recruiting elsewhere.

God damn I hate Michigan but I have to give credit where credit is due. Props to Harbaugh
