John Cena And SNL Ripped On Alabama Football Players

What if I told you Alabama football players weren’t being held to the same academic standards as other Bama students? I know, I wouldn’t believe it either but that’s the reputation surrounding the Crimson Tide and every other college football program around the country.

So with Alabama being the top team in the nation once again this year, it’s not surprising that Saturday Night Live went after them for a “dumb jock gets an A+” type of skit. Bama fan or not, this skit is funny.

God, I love John Cena. Not only did he ask to borrow my party walk-in song for his WWE bouts, but he plays a giant meathead perfectly. My only wish is that they would’ve gotten Nick Saban to actually come and play Nick Saban. The NCAA PR team would’ve shit themselves while watching and then not pay a “non-employee” college kid to clean it up. Bobby Moynihan is a strong second choice, though.

Hopefully Bama will be able to recover from this hurtful skit in time to play Washington on New Year’s Eve. Something tells me they will and every player who can throw a football a goddamn quarter mile will be academically eligible. Never change, college football..
