Ok all you people can stop bitching.. It’s a Cessna 425 Conquest II. It’s a good turboprop. The King Air is as well. I’ve flown both.. Nothing is wrong with buying a turboprop. It all depends on how you use it. If all my travels were within 1300 miles, I’d buy a turboprop. Otherwise, a jet.

Nothing is necessarily better than the other in the world of corporate aircraft.

along with distance, runway length comes into account. a lot of the great places to fly to are small strips that you cant land a jet on. even a light jet. and if you give me an option of a VLJ or a KingAir – i pick the king air every time. We land on short strips in the bahamas, Caribbean and in the mountains of NC, Montana, and Colorado in our king air because we cant land the jets there. Turbo props are a great plane to have in addition to a large jet.

Could not agree more, sir. My grandpa has a Citation 560, but also the Pilatus PC-12 for the small strips in the Bahamas especially. Based at KFXE.
