Kid Rock Puts The Entire Golf World On Notice After Draining A 40-Foot Putt In Front Of Jack Nicklaus
Given that golf is a game of etiquette (unless you’re John Daly), and Kid Rock probably has never even heard the word “etiquette” in his life, you’d probably think that you’d be more likely to find him butt ass naked in a swamp wrasslin’ alligators than on a golf course. But not only does the Detroit rocker play golf, he actually has a pretty clutch putting game. A putting game that he got to show off in front of none other than the legendary Jack Nicklaus himself.
From UPI:
Kid Rock impressed golf legend Jack Nicklaus by sinking a 40-foot putt at the Bass Pro Shops of Golf Celebrity Shootout.
The Bawitdaba singer went Drano on the long attempt Sunday at Top of the Rock golf course in Ridgedale, Mo.
Mark Wahlberg, Larry the Cable Guy and Willie Robertson also participated in the tournament.
Larry the Cable Guy beat Kid Rock for the tournament trophy. Kid Rock was the defending champion. Two-time major championship winner Johnny Miller was Larry the Cable Guy’s partner.
Kid Rock was defending champion? Apparently, I’m a little more rusty on celebrity golfing trivia than I thought.
Regardless of what you think about Kid Rock, though (I personally think his music his trash, but can’t help but respect his swagger), everything about this entire moment is fantastic, from the actual draining of the putt to the dapping up with Nicklaus to the post-putt interview. “Boom! In your face…whoever plays golf.” Holy shit. Whoever plays golf? That’s, like, a lot of people. From your buddy who can hit a decent tee shot with a few beers in him to your grandpa who plays a pretty solid scratch game to Tiger fucking Woods.
Watch out, every single golfer in the world. Kid Rock is coming for that ass..
