Kid Vigilante Gets Hammered, Sets Up DUI Checkpoint, Pulls Car Over
In one of the most hilarious drunken ideas in recent history, a 19-year-old Pennsylvania kid got hammered and set up a DUI checkpoint in his Somerset County neighborhood.
At about 4 a.m. on Saturday, a drunken Logan Shaulis grabbed his BB pistol and handcuffs, parked his vehicle diagonally across Route 601, sparked up some road flares, and took the law into his own hands.
Shaulis succeeded in stopping a passing vehicle. He told the driver that he was a state trooper and demanded to see a driver’s license, registration, and insurance papers. When the real fuzz crashed the makeshift checkpoint, Shaulis attempted to hand his BB pistol to the passenger of the car he stopped, telling the passenger, “I can’t get caught with this.”
From USA Today:
According to police, Shaulis had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech; he also had a pair of handcuffs and a portable scanner with him.
“No, mister officator … hup … YOU count your ABCs backwards!”
Shaulis faces felony charges, including drunken driving, impersonating a public servant, and unlawful restraint. Online court records don’t list an attorney for him, but I think Shaulis should follow the trend he started and down half a bottle of Jack, kick in the doors of that courtroom, and represent himself..

My buddies and I used to disguise ourselves as construction workers and close down roads using those light up cones. I didn’t know it was a serious offense until now. woops.
