LeBron’s New Shoes Already Claim He’s A ‘2-Time Champion’
Down three games to two in the NBA Finals is a bold time to reveal a sneaker like this, and it’s unknown if it was done with LeBron’s knowledge, but I’d like to think it was. That’s a quality I appreciate in athletes — cockiness. LeBron has it. Most of the great ones do. They paint targets on their own backs because they welcome the pressure, and often even the public disdain that comes with it.
LeBron’s newest pair of shoes, the Nike LeBron X Low Floral, features a sock lining with the inscription, “2-Time Champion” in one shoe, and “11-12 12-13” in the other, implying that he’s already won this year’s NBA championship.
It’s a bold strategy by Nike.
What happens if, let’s say, the Spurs happen to win one of the remaining games in Miami? Does Nike recall the shoes? Or does Joe Public just eat it and wear these travesties around town?
What’s up with basketball shoes these days? They look ri-goddamn-diculous, don’t they? I used to wear some old Converse that looked like this back when I played on my high school freshmen team:
They were hideous, but I made them look good because I had the sweetest jumper in Texas back then. Rain drops everywhere.

This is how I imagine Dorn and his rain drops on the basketball court. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xuoIjxQ_bU
