LeBron’s Pissing Off Kevin Durant in Olympic Workouts

With an aging Kobe, the future of the NBA is undoubtedly Kevin Durant and Lebron James. It’s pretty likely the world will see these two superstars face off in the NBA Finals again. The Finals have been over for almost a month now, but some animosity between the players still exists while they train to play for Team USA in the upcoming Olympics.

It’s no secret that many people completely despise Lebron James. Some would argue that he’s simply misunderstood. Durant, regardless of his feelings, has been annoyed playing with James on the Olympic team after losing to the Heat in the NBA Finals. Fortunately, Durant is a great human and will push on for the glory of the U.S.

Durant addressed his annoyance in a recent interview:

“He’s my teammate now. I’m a team player. I can’t let that affect this. This is bigger than that. It’s tough to lose in the Finals and play the guy you’ve been going up against for five games who beat you. So, me, I’m just going to get over it, still be a great teammate, come out, and play hard.”

It’s hard to blame Durant. He played his nuts off in the Finals with no help from James Harden and no passing from Russell Westbrook. Durant, though, will hopefully prove his dominance this summer if and when he is Team USA’s, and probably the Olympics’, highest scorer, as he has been in previous international tournaments. That is of course unless LeBron takes over this tournament too.

Blake Griffin, meanwhile, is just being Blake Griffin.

Only because it is Olympics related, will I allow it on TFM. Otherwise, Professional African Hopscotch should not be discussed on this site (ie Most Frat NBA players, its oxymoron)
