If you use “YOLO,” “swag,” or any other phrase like that seriously or on a regular basis, it’s a pretty good sign that I never want to hang out with you. But even I think it’s funny that somebody stole the “L-O-Y-O” letters from Loyola University in New Orleans. (For those of you who may have a problem rearranging letters, “L-O-Y-O” can turn into “YOLO.”)

School officials don’t seem to think that the letters getting stolen from the university is very funny, but I would imagine they have never YOLOed before. Officials described the vandalism as being a “victim of Mardi Gras.” If getting a few letters stolen from your campus is the only kind of destruction that happens during Mardi Gras, you should consider yourself lucky. With all of the crazy, twisted shit that usually happens in New Orleans during Mardi Gras, a few letters going missing is pretty tame.

The letters have yet to be found, but that’s not too surprising–I doubt the New Orleans police department cares much about a few missing letters on Fat Tuesday. To the people who stole the letters, #YOLO indeed.
