I agree. Don’t get my wrong, I’m conservative as fuck. However I do think it makes our party look bad to need to attack the president based on personal issues rather than political issues.
Also, a moderate/liberal colleague showed me this today, which pretty much sold me on the issue. I haven’t checked the facts yet, but I’d presume it all checks out.
“The first Congress of the United States (which included many of the Founders) furthered this interpretation, when, in 1790, they passed the Immigration and Naturalization Act, stating that: “The children of citizens of the United States that may be born beyond the sea, or outside the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural-born citizens of the United States.” (In 1795 Congress however passed a new act stating that: “… the children of citizens of the United States born out of the limits and jurisdiction of the United States, shall be considered as citizens of the United States.”)”
And considering his Mother was born in Kansas, that’s good enough for me. If the Constitution and our founding Fathers approve, I approve.
Second. He was born in Hawaii. Yes he is a bad President, but he is not a bad President because he “is from Kenya”. He is a bad President because of his policies.
I disagree with just about every political ideology that Obama has, but I will admit that making his birth certificate public right now was a brilliant political move. He restrained himself even while he was getting constantly harassed about it, held that in his back pocket as long as he needed to, then as soon as Trump took hold of it and started going up fast in the polls, he made it public and made Trump look like a complete asshole, which pretty much takes him out of the 2012 race. Again, I hate the guy, but thats brilliant political strategy. Well played.
Donald Trump is a piece of shit anyway, he’d be an improvement over Obama, but the man is socially retarded, economically irresponsible, incapable of creating solid foreign relations, and disrespected by anyone with any sense. Thank the Lord he has no chance for the nomination, the Republican party can do MUCH better than that jackass. Huckabee 2012.
Tallapoosa Snu, yes it was a good political move, but not because he waited to play this card. He did not have a birth certificate, it’s as simple as that. During the race, there was absolutely nothing to keep him from showing he was born in the united states or his college records. I mean, come on, George bush was our previous president, it’s not like we, as a country, would be worried about his grades. I’m sure as soon as he was elected the certificate was made, but it would be stupid to just show it at that point. He needed someone to force it out. Trump did just this and now there’s no more argument to be made. Just 1 1/2 more years and we can move on. I sincerely hope your right about this crushing trump. We really don’t need him splitting the conservative vote.
iRage, I also have sincere doubts about the legitimacy of his birth certificate, it should have been dealt with much sooner and it’s very likely that Obama’s sympathizers could have taken a lot of steps to fabricate it… after his opponents in ’08 couldn’t find it, it’s pretty convenient that all of a sudden it pops up when its investigated more thoroughly… while I stand by my statement that it was good strategy (real or not), I definitely appreciate a solid argument that it was forged, the timing and the fact it was approved by less than reputable sources make me think it could definitely have been smoothly faked by sympathizers that just want him re-elected… political transparency is a right of the American people, and he definitely hasn’t changed my judgment that he’s being much less than honest about it… I wish he would just quit fucking lying and being deceitful in more ways than just with his birth certificate, the American public deserves better than that. Luckily, soon this joke of a presidency will be over.
Ignorance and Racism NF. you don’t have to like him but you need to respect his position… and also if you didn’t want him it’s your conservative asses that didn’t get enough votes 🙂
It’s absolutely hilarious to me that the first person(dike) to bring up race is the one who’s making accusations of racism, i.e. lovemysisters. Sorry sugar tits but the original message had nothing to do with race.
On a side note, I would’ve made a statement about you getting back to the kitchen but I’m fairly certain you wouldn’t fit through any of the doorways. So how about you return to munching on the female grass pasture like the rest of your bovine loving lesbians.
That “lesbian” stuff is pretty funny, coming from someone who calls himself a bear. And I’m glad to see you fine gentlemen know how to treat a lady. Bless your hearts. I’m going back to the kitchen now, but I sure won’t be making any of y’all a sandwich.
Disagreeing with lovemysisters is one thing, but the language you “gentlemen” are using is just disgusting. You should not need to call her a lesbian/cunt or any other expletive to articulate your opinion.
I may be liberal, but I do not agree with a lot of thing Obama has done. You can hate the current President but you need to respect the position. I did not vote for him. Nor did I vote for McCain. But I do not appreciate the language and names you used. Honestly, you made me lose all respect for Fraternities… You are sexist and chauvinistic pigs.
I never once said this was about the original post… It was about War Eagle’s post which was not all that polite, and quite offensive…
Also, on another note that you to those of you that were polite enough to not call me names or judge based on the fact that I was raised in a family where no matter what you respect positions of authority even if you don’t agree with them.
All political issues aside, “Old Row Medicine Sho” must be a geed. If he wasn’t, he would have an brother willing to give him his ID until he turned 21.
oh my god just give it up, stop bitching about this non existent problem and move on. he was born in America, it’s been clarified. you sound ignorant for dwelling on this
so you’re not attacking my argument, but instead by lack of capitalization? shows you’re not smart enough to come up with a good argument. someone’s not very bright….
btw- not capitalizing my words is in no way ignorant.
The fact Trump was able to make a sitting president show his birth certificate is hilarious. I hope he doesn’t get the nomination, since I’d like to see a republican win in 2012, but I have to like him now.
The birther charges are redundant, President Obama needs to be called out for his political ineptness and how his Change movement is backfiring more blatantly than anything I’ve ever seen in politics.
Besides, he may be not be Kenyan but it doesn’t save him from being a cargo short-donning geed with a baseball pitch about as soft as a hippie bitching about U.S. military intervention. On a side note, I do like the username, good sir.
In the unlikely event that anyone ever publicly questioned my citizenship, as a proud American, I would not hesitate to provide my birth certificate and any other requested information. I am an American and would more than happy to prove that fact to anyone who asks.
Obama held the “oh, those crazy Republicans” card in his pocket over this issue until it was strategically smart to use it. Independent studies show that MSNBC spent twice as much air time as CNN and FNC discussing the birth certificate in the last week. That indicates that the liberals spend more time talking shit about us than we do about the actual issue at hand.
Making it an issue while telling America not to make it an issue was smart. It serves a dual purpose in taking the general public’s attention off the fact that the Democrats are about to shove our economy further down the shitter and also knocks Trump down a notch right as he was starting to gain support as a potential challenger.
Lol you LIE. If a bum on the street stopped you and said “what’s your name?” and you said, “…Doug Dougerson”, and he replied, “..I don’t believe you, show me your ID!” There’s no way in HELL you would take out your ID. Why? Because who the F*CK IS HE?? He doesn’t have the AUTHORITY to ask you for such credentials.
That’s what you conservatives cant fathom: Obama IS president of this great country, even though you’re condescending to him, questioning his credentials as if he is still some candidate, and to him you are just bums on the street. A bum with funny hair got loud and rowdy, and as a man in a position of the highest power, he took it out to appease the bums. now go back to your corners.
Funny, but this “birther” issue is obnoxious. I hate Obama as much as all of y’all, but Bash him for his policies, not for some made up concern.
I’m guessing I’m going to get called a gee for this…

Really the only part which you need to see is:
“The first Congress of the United States (which included many of the Founders) furthered this interpretation, when, in 1790, they passed the Immigration and Naturalization Act, stating that: “The children of citizens of the United States that may be born beyond the sea, or outside the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural-born citizens of the United States.” (In 1795 Congress however passed a new act stating that: “… the children of citizens of the United States born out of the limits and jurisdiction of the United States, shall be considered as citizens of the United States.”)”
