LSU Student Arrested For Filming Couple Having Sex In Private Dorm Bathroom

Living in a dorm my freshman year was one of the most memorable and crazy times of my life. My dorm was damn near condemnation, and the memories my friends and I made there will last a lifetime. Between 3 a.m. fire alarms and activity in the halls at all hours of the night, I had one hell of a year. Dorm residents are like rabbits in heat, and it’s the closest thing to living in Olympic Village for most of us. The rhythmic tapping of bedposts against the wall became a sort of white noise to me every night.

One couple at Louisiana State University experienced the lowest form of dormitory resident last month. A fellow student walking down the hall heard a girl screaming and took it upon himself to check it out. He quickly discovered a couple engaged in some form of intense sexual interaction in a bathroom suite, and instead of hitting the road, he took out his phone and recorded their private encounter. Continuing to prove his incredible lack of common sense and inability to comprehend simple human decency, he posted the images and video on Instagram.

The voyeuristic moron claimed he deleted the posts shortly after uploading them, but it was well after many people on campus saw them–including the male victim’s resident assistant. The RA informed the male victim of his involuntary participation in the video and then he contacted the LSU Police Department. The police interviewed the suspect, who claimed the couple had no right to privacy while having sex in a bathroom, but he seemingly forget the fact that he had to enter their private dorm just to witness the incident.

The suspect was arrested several days ago and soon released on $7,500 bond. He is being charged with one count of video voyeurism.

While I’ll never understand people’s needs to video others when they can Google as much “entertainment” as they want, the moral of the story is that voyeurs are never cool. Let your fellow residents enjoy themselves without the fear of making the Instagram front page, you creepy bastards.
