Man Hires Assassin to Kill Hit Man Who He Previously Hired to Kill His Wife

This story is wall to wall insane. Expect one of next season’s Law and Order SVU episodes to be based this. Here’s the rundown:

A man named Bob Bashara, who owns the increasingly ironically named Hard Luck Lounge in Detroit, Michigan, was married to his wife Jane for 26 years. According to accusations, Bob Bashara one day hired a hit man to kill his wife. That hit man was successful in doing so. Jane Bashara was found strangled to death in her SUV on January 26th.

The hit man, Joe Gentz, turned himself in a few days later claiming that Bob Bashara had hired him to commit the murder. This however was never proven. Although Bashara was in the clear for the time being he decided that Joe Gentz was a loose end that needed to be tied up so he attempted to hire an assassin to kill Gentz. This time Bashara was caught in the act and is now being charged with “solicitation to murder a witness.”

As if that chain of events weren’t batshit crazy enough on their own, when authorities arrested Bashara they found a sex dungeon in the basement of his Grosse Pointe, Michigan home. According to a local Detroit dominatrix, Bashara was reputed for throwing large, wild, bondage themed sex parties, often hosted below the Hard Luck Lounge. According to the dominatrix, Bashara’s wife Jane was also an attendee of the S&M parties.

A rich family, a dead wife, a hit man trying to kill a hit man who killed the wife, and crazy sex parties? How did this not happen in Florida? This is a 20 year high school reunion away from being a Grosse Pointe Blank sequel (great movie).

I don’t even really have anymore commentary. I think this story pretty much speaks for itself. But seriously, did this guy learn NOTHING from the movie Fargo?
