Drinking and coming up with extreme excuses to justify your drinking should be two things that are second nature to you. With school now in session pretty much everywhere in the country, some of you might want to hit up your local watering hole on a Tuesday night instead of studying. As a result, you give your friends an excuse as to why you can’t make it to the library that night.

Recently, one man in the United Kingdom wasn’t ready to call it a night and head home to his girlfriend, so he did what any rational man would do–he faked his own kidnapping.

From Sky News:

The woman was ‘beside herself’ and called police after speaking to his ‘kidnapper’ on the phone and receiving a number of text messages.

But her boyfriend was in fact enjoying himself at a house party outside of Manchester in the early hours of the morning.

He was given a fixed penalty notice for wasting police time but was not charged with anything because the police didn’t want to waste more time on the guy by putting him through the court system.

He must have one of those girlfriends who is very controlling. If that is the case, I don’t blame the guy for coming up with an elaborate plan to fake his own kidnapping. If she can’t say yes to a few more hours of drinking, then she’s not the one. They always say that asking for forgiveness is a lot easier than asking for permission.

Back in my day we told the old lady we were “going to the store” seems a bit less work than faking a kidnapping and they never questioned it

Back in my day we used to tell the old lady that we were “going to the store” seems a bit less difficult and inconsequential compared to faking your own kidnapping

In America, we tell our women to put the sandwich she made in the fridge. We also remind them to be prepared to have another one ready when you drunkenly stumble home blacked out and way later than the said promised time.

I would just say, ” I’m going to this party whether you like it or not. What are you going to do, break up with me?” Currently single.
