Man Wins $50,000 in a Year on Golden Tee

Men like Roger_Dorn seem to think they are Golden Tee professionals. There are people in the world, though, that actually do make a living off of the great game that is Golden Tee. Greg Kinzler, one of the two dozen full-time Golden Tee professionals, recently amassed over $50,000 in winnings from playing Golden Tee tournaments.

The average routine for Kinzler consists of daily, 5-hour stints of snapping his wrists and rolling the click wheel to fight through 18 holes. In a 5-hour span, Kinzler tends to play around 30 games, where he competes sometimes for as little as $10.

Kinzler is a hero. A former certified golfing instructor, Kinzler forgot his certification and devoted his life full-time to drinking beer and dominating Golden Tee. After all, it’s pretty difficult (albeit a great time) to golf hammered, while Golden Tee is much more suited to the inebriated player.

Recently, Kinzler finished second in a tournament in St. Charles, Illinois. After having to play a few risky shots, Kinzler stumbled, and ended up taking the $500 prize for second place. One thing is certain, though: Kinzler is an American Hero, and God Bless Golden Tee.

As frat as the golden tee is, I wouldn’t want my life to be playing 5 hours a day for a measly 50 beans.
