Manti Te’o’s Real Life Girlfriend Is An Instagram Model With A Lengthy Arrest Record

Current San Diego Chargers linebacker and former Notre Dame standout Manti Te’o will forever have his football career overshadowed by his dating life, real or not. Te’o, infamous for being catfished by a supposed leukemia-riddled Lennay Kekua, has a real life girlfriend now. She’s 28-year-old Instagram model Jovi Nicole.

Okay, I see you Te’o. She passes the eye test, but let’s dig a little deeper here. As with most Instagram models, you need to approach with caution.

BlackSportsOnline reports the two have been dating for months, but they’ve kept the relationship on the down low.

After posting a recent video with Te’o which triggered this real-girlfriend talk, she changed her Instagram account to private. However, the word “taken” with a lock emoji still appears in the top right corner.

Jovi, whose real last name is Engbino, actually has quite the arrest record. She showed up in an Arizona newspaper’s “Most Wanted” list in 2009:

Here’s a review(?) about her posted on The Dirty back in November when, according to this post, she was still dating Te’o.

Somehow, Te’o’s gone from the nice, pure kid who took time to have a relationship with a girl with leukemia he’d never met before to now dating a real life Instagram model with a lengthy rap sheet. You’ve changed, man. She seems like more of a Gronkowski-type of gal.
