Marshall Henderson From Ole Miss Is The Bad Boy Of College Basketball
I know I’m a little late getting to this character, so I’m glad he pulled another stunt last night against Kentucky, because it gives me another opportunity to sneak a story in. The latest charade pulled by Marshall Henderson, the most talked about basketball player in the country right now, is humming a 98 MPH fastball with a piece of ice that was thrown onto the Ole Miss Rebels’ home court — right at his own student section, looking like Ken Caminiti from the hot corner gunning down the leadoff runner back at the old Astrodome.
Here’s the video:
So, WHY would he unload ice at his own fans? Apparently the guy is just a loose cannon, man. Henderson burst onto the scene this season leading Ole Miss, a school not known for basketball, to a 17-3 record (6-1 in conference). This kid’s good, too, but outweighing his basketball prowess are his on-court antics. This .gif hit the scene on Saturday after Henderson taunted Auburn fans to their boiling points:
I think there were something like 13 total middle finger blasts in about a 2-second span. A guy with the kind of ability to razz up a crowd like that can play on my team anytime. My favorite person in this awesome, microcosmic display of the American sports fan is the angry blue hair sitting courtside. Look at this old bastard just ready to engage in fisticuffs with the youngster over some taunting, chest thumping and jersey tugging.
I love this old guy.
Old man strength is real, and it is NOT to be fucked with.
Then there’s this Auburn bro about to lose all his shit at the sight of Henderson’s face:
Here’s to hoping for an Ole Miss NCAA tourney run and much more Marshall Henderson.
