Matthew McConaughey Gets The Positive Vibes Flowing In Pump-Up Speech To University Of Texas Baseball Team

Matthew McConaughey is one of the most famous actors of all time, but between his movie roles and Lincoln car commercial spots, the man still manages to make time for his University of Texas Longhorns.

The A-list actor with the triple-A catch phrase is known for his electric pre-game pump-up speeches before major Longhorns sporting events, and the advice he shared with UT’s baseball team ahead of their upcoming regional tourney offered some patented McConaughey good vibes and positive energy.

From KVUE:

After the National Collegiate Athletic Association announced Monday morning that the Longhorns will host a regional baseball game in Austin, UT Baseball shared a few photos of McConaughey on their Twitter page with the caption, “How do we feel about hosting? Alright, alright, alright.”

McConaughey also stopped by to visit Longhorn baseball players to give some words of wisdom. In a video shared by UT Baseball via Twitter, McConaughey talks about post season and why it’s important.

“Here you go in post-season, where everything really counts. It’s ding-ding, it’s go time,” said McConaughey. “When you head out there, it’s live man. Take one. It’s live.”

“It’s ding-ding, it’s go time.” Shit, if I’m a Longhorns player, I’m getting that phrase tatted on my body ASAP. Because win or lose, that’s just some quality life advice.

Honestly, McConaughey could have just come in and done the chest pounding thing from The Wolf of Wall Street; that probably would’ve been enough to get everyone going. The fact that he actually said something impactful was simply a bonus.
