Western Ontario Delta Upsilon Tragically Passed Away During Spring Break

Deaths in the Greek life circle always hit hard. Whether you know the person or not, it is always sad to hear about a member of our society passing away at such a young age. Unfortunately for the brothers of Delta Upsilon at Western Ontario University, they are currently having to deal with a loss. While on a reading week vacation (more commonly known as spring break) in Cancun, Nathan James Carl Holder — a member of Delta Upsilon at Western Ontario — suddenly fell ill and passed away due to pancreatitis.

Holder’s family is struggling to pay for the bill to fly his body back home from Mexico. Someone associated with Western Ontario University reached out to us so we could let you know that the family has set up a GoFundMe campaign to help bring Nathan’s body back home for a funeral. I encourage you to make any sort of donation you can. Every little bit helps.

      Thanks. Looked it up. He was a 29 year old African-Canadian promoter who went by Nate Black. His family needs $20,000. As of this morning they have raised over $30,000.

      You disrespectful shitstain. First off pancreatitis is usually caused by the presence of gall stones. Secondly does it matter what it’s caused by? He’s dead, don’t cast doubt upon his life. Just offer condolences, send a prayer, and donate if you can. Fucking asshat.

      I thought so too, so I looked it up. From Mexico to Canada is $3,500 to $5,000 depending on the weight of the body and casket.

    Nate will forever be loved by the boys of DU Western Ontario. Nate was one of the most genuine guys I have ever met. He was and continues to be an inspiration to all those around him. My condolences to his family and friends back home.
