I’m not sure where “I was actually born with a dick” lies on the list of the worst things your girlfriend could tell you, but it’s probably right next to “I’m pregnant.” It’s a jarring thing to hear, and Michael Phelps recently went through this when his girlfriend, Taylor Lianne Chandler, revealed that she was actually born a dude and was named David Roy Fitch.

Taylor (or is it David?) sat down for an interview with Radar Online, and she said, “I was born with male genitalia with no testicles, but I also have a uterus and no ovaries.” When she became a teenager, she underwent surgery to become a full-blown female and changed her name to Paige Victoria Whitney. How many names do you need in your life? What makes this story even weirder is that the two met on Tinder back in August. I don’t understand big name athletes hitting the Tinder scene. They can usually get any girls they want.

After meeting Phelps, she failed to mention that she was born with a penis during the whole “getting to know each other” stage. Once Phelps entered rehab after a drunk driving incident, Taylor sent Michael an email spilling the beans about her past. Phelps has yet to respond, probably because he’s in denial and is powering through the reality of the situation. She doesn’t expect the relationship to continue once he finishes rehab, saying, “Michael is a brand, and dating someone like me may not be the best thing, I just hope he follows his heart and not what his people tell him.”.
