Just put the boat in Lake Michigan. And by put it in, I mean navigating it from Ft. Lauderdale up the east coast, through the St. Lawrence Seaway, past Detroit, under the Mackinaw Bridge, into Grand Haven. TFM.

To clear the air Michigan doesn’t get crap for being so far up north or even because it’s basically Canada. It is because they have no income, jobs, or assets it is the poorest state and a disgrace to the nation. However I presume it is a pretty state.

Yes, Michigan is my home state so I am bound to defend it as I am sure you would for whatever (probably) southern state you are from. However, you know nothing about Michigan. it is basically 2 states in my mind. You have Detroit, Flint, and Saginaw (admittedly some of the most dangerous and too be honest nasty cities in our nation) and then you have everywhere else. In this everywhere we have by far the most shoreline of any state outside of Alaska. In the summer, this means pristine (and often empty) beaches that stretch through almost every corner of the state.
There are plenty of people who have tons of assets and some of the property in the Traverse City area ranks right up there with any prestigious vacation land.

We aren’t the poorest state (thats Mississippi), we are 34th which while pathetic, still isn’t close to last. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_by_income)

Golf digest lists us as the #4 best golf course state per capita and “Michigan actually lays claim to having more 5-star courses than any other state”

This is without a doubt a tfm

To clear the air… Louisiana, Arkansas, West Virginia, and Mississippi are the four poorest states in America. Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi are also the fattest states in America. However I presume those states…. nevermind, it sounds like the south is pretty shitty.

More shoreline than any state outside of Alaska? Yeah, shoreline on lakes. The only shoreline that counts is on the Ocean. NF

Hobie frat: Your statement on LA is incorrect maybe you do not watch the news often but allow me to enlighten you. LA has a 7.6% unemployment which is the lowest and lower than the nation wide unemployment. LA also has the highest GDP in the nation. If it was not for Obama and the Dems trying to follow through on their alt energy plan they would have a GDP higher then the entire US due to Bobby Jindal’s plan to drill for natural resources and telling Obama to shove it. However and unfortunately the feds and democrats do not believe in our founding documents and will not allow states rights. To sum this up for you LA is far from poor and the only thing bringing up their unemployment is the c.oloreds in NO.

JPHaze: Your last comment was one of the most inaccurate and retarded arguments ever witnessed on this site…and that is saying something.

^Seconded. JPHaze, you are a fucking retard. LA is in the 20s both in GDP and GDP per capita. And if we’re all of a sudden deciding to measure frattiness by GDP, then everyone needs to do a 180 on their evaluation of California.

This line gets used too much, but it’s especially fitting here: “I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.”

Just got back on the water last week. Lake Michigan is one of the best places to boat in the summer.

Oakland County, MI is one of the wealthiest communities in the nation, Grand Rapids is the most philanthropic city in the nation, and Michigan has one of the best university systems in the nation. Also, Lake MI provides for the best freshwater yachting experience in the world.

What kind of boat? Our boat Is practically famous in grand haven, but spends her summers berthed in Chicago. Nothing better than summertime on lake Michigan.
