Milwaukee Man Paints “Welcome To Cleveland” Sign On Roof Just To Piss Off Airplane Passengers

The art of trolling has taken a nosedive recently. With the emergence of the “it’s just a prank, bro” YouTube crowd, trolling has left its days of sparking a bit of online entertainment, and entered the realm of pure assholery. Some guys still get it, though. It’s all in the presentation.

Meet Mark Gubin, a 62-year-old Milwaukee resident. Gubin has perfected the art of fucking with unsuspecting people. He has set it up to require little to no actual effort. The only downside being that due to the thousands of feet separating himself and those he is trolling, he is never able to witness their reactions.

This is Gubin’s roof:

It’s very simple and unassuming. It’s the simplicity that sells it. Due to his roof’s position in the flight path of inbound jets, every airliner that passes over it is full of potential victims who may or may not crap themselves a bit at the thought of accidentally being flown into the Ohioan-laden hellhole known as Cleveland.

A quick search on Google Maps proved that the sign is undoubtedly viewable from the air.

Despite the sign’s age, a recent post on Reddit helped resurrect its legend. Well done, Gubin. This is how it’s done, kids..
