Missouri getting a bid to the SEC then telling them they'll think about it. TFM.

SEC Bylaw 4.12.61 “Only states that previously seceded from the Union before the Civil War shall be allowed to join the Southeastern Conference”

So in other words, “border states” don’t qualify

I do believe that one of those stars on the Confederate Flag is representative of Missouri.

Hey Fratchamp, just guessing from your clever bylaw that you think the Civil War started on April 12, 1861? Under that criteria Tennessee, Arkansas, and Kentucky wouldn’t be in the SEC. But what would you know about the CSA? You’re from the Carpetbagger’s Paradise…Florida.

Yeah dumbass, the war did start on that date with the battle of fort sumpter which prompted Arkansas, Tennessee, and Kentucky to join. Go read up on your American history, commie

So, then KY, TN, and AR joined DURING the Civil War, not BEFORE – like SEC Bylaw 4.12.61 requires? Kentucky and Missouri both joined the Confederacy in the same way, and are equally Border States. Neither formally seceded because they couldn’t get a quorum in the state house, so they set up Confederate governments in exile and never controlled the government or capitals of their states. Kentucky has always, and will always be considered a Border State. Suck it, you carpetbagging bitch. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Border_states_%28American_Civil_War%29

3/5 of every Mizzou fan is still a ton of GDI clowns. Sad day for the SEC.

You do know Mizzou has a bigger Greek system with more tradition than a lot of Southern schools right?
