Napoli Works Dirk for $100 Over Soccer Match

The Euro 2012 has been the source of great pride for the participating European nations, well pride along with many more emotions like elation, angst, anger, and violence. The Euros takes this sport to the extreme. This time though, it has spilled over to our country in the form of two Dallas area athletes. Mike Napoli and Dirk Nowitzki go back and forth via Twitter in an exchange representing two big players in WWII. Allies turned enemies on Thursday, though.

Mike Napoli called out the German born 7′ NBA jump shooter just before the Italy versus Germany semi-final match of the Euro 2012. Napoli, of Italian descent, fired the first shot across the bow of Nowitzki. Realizing Dirk was most likely inebriated and vulnerable at the time, Napoli hit him with this tweet to let the Kraut know it was going down:

After the Italians jumped out to a 2-0 lead, Napoli tried to shake Dirk’s tree a little bit. Unfazed by his antics, Dirk stood his ground with some American street slang he picked up during his time in the states:

After the Italians won the kickball game 2-1, Napoli demanded the Germ pay up in the form of a “crispy c note,” which is what the kids are calling one hundred dollars these days I’m being told. In a polite gesture to reaffirm the allies’ ties, Nowitzki agrees to Napoli’s terms:

It is a straight, usually double edged blade weapon that is somewhat shorter than a sword, yet longer than a knife.
