I know Eli, Cam and Tebow sucked hard this year….um no, no they did not. Why all the SEC hate, why trolls. Sad thing is kids, it only gets worse as you get older, just ask your dads.

      Tebow – sucked
      Grossman – sucked
      Stafford – great year
Cam – great for a rookie
      Eli – great year
Cutler – decent until he got hurt

at a second look, SEC actually did better than I thought they had. I might have missed one or two as well.

“Cam – great for a rookie”

Are you shitting me? He was great, period. He threw for over 4,000 yards making him 10th in the league and breaking Peyton Manning’s rookie record. He set a QB rushing record with 706 rushing yards. Not a rookie record. He ran for more yards this season than Michael Vick or Steve Young ever did in a single season. And he took the shitty, shitty Panther’s offense from scoring just over 12 points per game to ~26. He did all of this with one good target to throw to in Steve Smith and no 1000 yard rusher on the team.

Saying Tebow sucked is a little harsh. He went 7-4 in the regular season and had a playoff win against Pittsburgh. He’s not a pretty passer, but he finds a way to win, which is all you can ask for from a quarterback.

Tebow had one of the lowest passer ratings in the league and actually wasn’t on the list for most of the season since he didn’t pass the ball enough. Tebow’s contributions to the team were less than the QB should give, and the defense and Prater were more responsible for the team’s success than him.

Newton – Just because he had a record setting season doesn’t mean it was great for any player period. His effectiveness as a passer waned considerably once more NFL film on him could be studied. He made a lot of rookie mistakes that cost his team games (INTs, fumbles). His passer rating was middle of the road. As a runner he was clearly in a league of his own, but it’s not a road that hasn’t been traveled before. He will be a much better QB than I thought he’d be at the start of the season and is a testament to hard work and dedication meeting talent. No need to overrate his season. The panthers went 2-14 and he was part of it. If he had been a veteran QB, no one would be saying he had a great season.

^ Yeah, but the Broncos lack of a QB really showed against the Patriots. Tebow is NOT good, his team just masks how fucking awful he is.

^^^ iRage, Michael Vick had over 1,000 rush yards in 2006. Cam Newton set the record for rush TD by a QB. But you have a good point.

You are correct. It appears I misspoke. As for Tebow, yes, he doesn’t do the things that you expect from a quarterback. Kyle Orton is not a bad passer, but the Broncos were shit with him. People tend to credit stats quite a bit and forget that football is a team sport. Tebow has the ability to inspire his team, which will never show up in a stat book.
