Navy Unveils Alternate Uniforms That Display Each Player’s Rank, May Cause Patriot Boners
The U.S. Naval Academy will bring the heat this weekend against Ohio State, and they will look pretty damn cool while doing so. Under Armour and Navy just revealed the team’s new alternate uniforms, based on actual U.S. Navy “summer white” attire.
The uniforms even display rank on the shoulders and the pants. Freshman players will have an anchor, sophomores will have an anchor with a stripe, juniors will have an anchor with two stripes, seniors will have an anchor with parallel stripes, and captains will lose the sweet anchor logo but gain a star and three parallel stripes instead.
Perhaps the coolest part is the helmet design: a sweet white on navy design with a gold stripe, inspired by the hat the Naval officers in training wear as part of their “summer white” uniforms.
Under Armour can be pretty hit or miss when it comes to college uniforms (see: Maryland) but this time, the company absolutely knocked it out of the park. Chalk another one up for America.

If the player is a Marine Cadet, does he have to wear the freaking Anchor?
