NBC Cancels Miss USA Pageant Because Of Donald Trump

Miss Usa

Donald Trump never really had many redeeming qualities, but this time he really screwed the pooch.

NBC announced Monday that the network would be ending its relationship with the Don, and the timing couldn’t be worse. The 64th Annual Miss USA Pageant is less than two weeks away!

Due to the recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants, NBCUniversal is ending its business relationship with Mr. Trump.

To that end, the annual Miss USA and Miss Universe Pageants, which are part of a joint venture between NBC and Trump, will no longer air on NBC.

Dammit to hell, Donnie! Now how am I supposed to watch perfect, barely legal babes prance around in swimsuits in HD?!

NBC is also pulling the Miss Universe Pageants so no luck on international hotties in the coming months either.

First of all, the comments were not deragatory. Second, you completely missed the boat about the power move Trump pulled. NBC owns Univision. After they tried to dox him, he banned all Univision staff and officers from his golf course in Miami and told NBC to stop construction between their and his property and to close the gate or he would seal the gate within a week.

      El Taco,
This is what Trump said. This is kinda power movish:

“If NBC is so weak and so foolish to not understand the serious illegal immigration problem in the United States, coupled with the horrendous and unfair trade deals we are making with Mexico, then their contract violating closure of Miss Universe/Miss USA will be determined in court,” Trump told Us. “Furthermore, they will stand behind lying Brian Williams, but won’t stand behind people that tell it like it is, as unpleasant as that may be.”

He made a pretty insulting sweeping generalization about Mexicans/Latinos in the United States. Pretty sure you wouldn’t appreciate it if someone called immigrants from whatever country your family is from, “rapists.” Not to say we don’t have an immigration problem, but if you can’t see how Donald’s comments were at the very least poorly-worded and ill-advised then I don’t know how to explain it to you.

        According to the Justice Department,
80% of violent crime, to include violent rape and illicit drug trade is committed by street gangs tied to illegal immigrants. Sure, there are a few Dreamers here and there and hardworking fathers who work 12 hour days landscaping, but Donald is right. The Libs believe open immigration will secure decades of votes an Democratic rule, while the Chamber of Commerce wants $6/hour laborers who can be paid under the table in cash.

Most ILLEGAL immigrants, which he clearly stated, from Mexico are committing crimes, so what he said may have been worded aggressively but it was true and is a problem in America.

Go down near the border in Texas and see all of the drug mules and coyotes and all the problems they cause. Hell up until Abbot called in the guard the ranchers had to defend themselves. Might have a been harsh but he’s right.

He worded it horribly, that’s why he’s fucked if he would’ve been clear from the start that he was talking about illegal immigrants then the backlash he received wouldn’t have been nearly as bad

Hey I’m sure “some are actually good people.” What a joke. And guess what, Freedom of Speech does not apply in the corporate, private market Trump loves so much

What you all don’t understand is that he specified by saying “illegal immigrants.” Secondly, he is not a corporation. He is a presidential candidate. What the fuck kind of liberal site do you use for news? Finally, every illegal immigrant has broken at least one law. Worse than that, what he said was accurate.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure the pageant is still going on. Some other broadcasting company will pick up or it’ll go to pay per view of assume. Not cancelled, numb nuts.

Who would order this on pay per view. Yeah I’ll pay $19.99 to not see tits. The show has been dying year after year, it’s like the Oscars, no one gives a shit about what some 19 year old is gonna do with her scholarship and all the charity work she will do.

Damon right. If the Republican party doesn’t start attracting young voters most of their voting block will be dead by the time I’m 40.

You’re talking about the next president there guy.

Nothing he said was untrue or derogatory. NBC is upset because they tried paint him in a negative light and he banned their executives from his golf courses.

Check your facts, don’t be a lib-tard guy

This is also the man who wants to build a giant wall on the US/Mexican Border and have the Mexicans pay for it.

Don’t get me wrong, that would also be a Power Move, but these aren’t kind of things you say when you’re lobbying to be the next President.

I mean, when their own citizens are leaving their country and costing their neighbor billions of dollars… yeah they should at least contribute a little.

All of the organizations and institutions screaming at Trump over protecting our borders have borders of their own.
      1. Colleges have the admissions process and office.
      2. Google and Yahoo require a college degree.
      3. NCAA has min requirements.
      4. We have Rush.
      5. Etc, etc.

If anyone considers him a serious candidate for president. You are a complete idiot. He’s gonna run, he will think he’s gonna win but he has about a good of a chance as Michelle Bachman if she ran. Just wants a attention and everyone is giving him what he wants.

While I agree with some of Trump’s opinions – this is wholly true and I would rather him keep his mouth shut so it doesn’t harm the republican party. About 80% of the primary candidates need to drop out.

Agreed. The way he conducts himself publicly makes for some entertaining news banter, but as a statesman, he’s not going to get very far by acting that way. He definitely makes things interesting though.

he is polled at 2nd place in New Hampshire with 11% behind Jeb who has 16% its just gonna take time to see if he is gonna be an actual candidate and not just mouth.
