New College-Only App ‘WiGo’ Sweeping The Nation
Four weeks ago, we introduced you to an app called WiGo. Since then, the app has boomed across the country, growing at a ridiculous rate. WiGo is currently in 650 schools across the country with an astounding user base of more than 25,000 people. In less than a month, this national growth is faster and broader than Facebook’s launch. Suck it, Zuckerberg.
WiGo is essentially a mix between Snapchat, Facebook, and Tinder. The features are simple. You can see who is going out at your school every night and where they are going. You can also “tap” people you want to see out later, and chat with one another. It’s much easier than having to go through a group message on your phone, and you don’t have to listen to your idiot friend bitch about all the text message notifications. Like Snapchat, everything wipes clean early each morning, so there’s no hangover on WiGo. This is good–you won’t have to remember those questionable decisions you made the night before. WiGo is constantly coming up with new ideas, and more features will come soon.
To see which schools have WiGo, check out the interactive map here. (The numbers represent the number of schools, not the number of students.) Keep zooming in to see which schools have the app, but keep in mind that not all schools are even on the map yet. WiGo becomes more useful as more people from the same school join, so if you haven’t already, download the app now. Only college students can enter a school’s WiGo network. If someone sketchy somehow hacks into a school’s WiGo network, he or she will be kicked out permanently as soon as users report the person. Fraternities and sororities have been some of the campus advocates who have helped WiGo grow so quickly.

That’s amazing. I’m sure it has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that everyone in america has a smart phone now and when facebook launched a decade ago, smartphones didn’t even exist. Seriously guys, we all know it’s a shameless promotion.. you don’t need to act like this is going to be bigger than facebook. Don’t piss on my face and tell me it’s raining.
