New York City’s Mayor Bloomberg Is An Ass Man

Let’s clear the air before we get started. I disagree with Mayor Bloomberg on a key issue: gun control (and soda control). I am pro guns. I enjoy them. I own them. I shoot them. For me personally, guns help me put trophy mounts on the wall and meat in the freezer. For society as a whole, guns help us defend our homes and ourselves, and they are only a problem when being handled by lunatics and/or people who have not been taught how to respect the weapon. That being said, an article I read on New York City’s mayor has me torn on whether or not I like the guy. The title of the article?

Look At The Ass On That One: Mayor Bloomberg’s Surprise Alleged Response To Gun Control Thanks

Cheeky bastard! The Johns Hopkins (where he was a Phi Psi and just donated a meager $350 million) and Harvard grad that dominated his Wall Street job at Saloman Brothers, then became self-made billionaire for his revolutionized way of sharing financial information and went on to become mayor of NYC blah blah blah. The guy is an “ass man” just like me. We’re not so different after all. Don’t get guys like us wrong; we enjoy a nice pert rack with the rest of you, but we just tend to notice the filled out yoga pants before we pick up on the low-cut top. To each his own. To give you an idea of how many fucks the mayor gives on people complimenting him, though, here is how it went down:

…My friend and I followed the host over, shook Bloomberg’s hand, and my friend thanked him for his position on gun control. Without even acknowledging the comment, Bloomberg gestured toward a woman in a very tight floor-length gown standing nearby and said, “Look at the ass on her.”

Oh, you like his position on gun control? Well he likes the position of the tight dress on a stellar ass and you are in the way. Two words: power move. Wouldn’t be the first one Bloomberg has pulled either. In 2008 he pushed through legislation stating that he can run for a third term because he’s the only one with the financial prowess to get anything accomplished in difficult fiscal times. Who’s going to question him? The other guy who created a financial information empire? I may not agree with him on everything, but dammit now I respect him just a little bit more.

Also, it turns out that Michael Bloomberg tosses out sexist comments to women that work around him that would make Patrick Bateman blush. When the current City Council Speaker and aspiring city mayor, Christine Quinn, was asked about Bloomberg in an informal interview, this is what she had to say:

“The mayor is going to yell at me when I get out of the car because I have flat boots on. The mayor has no use for flat shoes…I was at a parade with him once and he said, ‘What are those?’ and I said, ‘They’re comfortable,’ and he said, ‘I never want to hear those words out of your mouth again.’ He likes me in heels.”

Hey, when you’re estimated net worth is twenty five billion dollars, you can get away with demanding all the women that you work with wear heels every now and then. I just can’t make up my mind on this one. On the one hand I oppose him and his stance on gun control, but on the other hand, he seems like just another average dude at the bar who appreciates a tight dress on a hard body. The only difference being that he got to the bar by helicopter and none of us were invited to this particular hang out.

I think the sexism cancels out all his liberal views. I would be happy to vote for him if he ever ran as an independent to ensure American women…stay in favorable positions.

I think you’re in the wrong comments section, kimosabe. Bacon’s article about Canadians is up and towards the middle.
