Nick Saban And Les Miles Offer Football Scholarship To 8th Grader
When I was in eighth grade I was trying to scheme a way to steal second base from first, you know, like with the ladies, along with the other typical middle school rites of passage. High school was a fleeting thought in my mind, and college wasn’t even on the radar at that point. But for eighth grader Dylan Moses of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, his future beyond high school is already looking very bright. The quarterback/running back/linebacker/safety/whatever-he-wants is reminiscent of Bo Jackson in Tecmo Super Bowl — like a man among boys on the gridiron.
Les Miles and Nick Saban, obviously coaches of two of the most elite football programs in the country, took notice and offered the newly-pubescent a scholarship while he’s a ridiculous four and a half years away from ever having the chance to set foot on a college football field. On the Saban offer:
“We met with Coach Saban after lunch and he talked to Dylan about his future and what he needed to do to achieve his potential as a student and as a football player,” Dylan’s father Edward Moses Jr told AL.com. “When he said he was offering Dylan a scholarship, we asked a lot of questions just to make sure we knew exactly what he meant. Coach Saban said the Alabama staff believes Dylan has a chance to be the best player in the country in the Class of 2017 and they were ready to offer him a scholarship. That’s when the fireworks started going off in our heads.”

Make sure you keep your spare tire inflated. If you have a blow out, and your spare isn’t inflated, your going to have a bad time!!!
12 years ago at 2:58 pmIf you french fry when you’re supposed to pizza, you’re gonna have a bad time.
12 years ago at 3:13 pm^ Yes.
12 years ago at 4:29 pmJiffylubeguy, this is the second time you’ve made the grammatical error of confusing “you’re” with “your.” Three strikes and you’re out. Last warning.
12 years ago at 5:02 pmCan we see an official birth certificate?
12 years ago at 3:00 pmdat block. kid’s gonna suck when everyone else grows up though
12 years ago at 3:00 pmWaste of time. He still has 4 years to get arrested.
12 years ago at 3:14 pm^ no way he qualifies academically or stays out of trouble if he is already getting this type of attention. He will just try to coast.
12 years ago at 6:28 pm^ He is 16 and in 8th grade. So he doesn’t qualify academically.
12 years ago at 9:08 pmjust wait until everyone catches up to him physically and he can’t run people over anymore.
12 years ago at 2:48 pmIt was easy for me to talk to girls up until my junior year of high school because everyone used to think I was gay.
12 years ago at 3:18 pmThis guy never gets old to me.
12 years ago at 11:34 pmI’d probably kick this much ass at football playing against kids six years younger than me too.
12 years ago at 3:26 pmJesus H. Gotta hand it to the kid, though. If he lowered his shoulder and ran through people, he could fuck some people up. He actively tries to avoid them. Good sportsmanship. RFM.
12 years ago at 3:44 pm*Bad sportsmanship. RFM.
12 years ago at 5:03 pmThat’s not sportsmanship. Hitting is part of football, but why risk a freak injury when you can avoid unnecessary contact and still pick up yards.
12 years ago at 8:28 amAll he really has going for him is that he’s physically mature at an early age. I guess he gets a few more years to do serious training but you could put any 6 foot, 200 pound highschooler in that situation and they would make the same plays. By the time he’s in college everybody will be the same size as him and he won’t be able to just push kids over with one hand.
12 years ago at 3:45 pmThis is what happens when you fail the third grade twice. Then sixth grade once..
