North Korea Threatens War Because Of Upcoming Film Starring Seth Rogen And James Franco

You’ve heard about Seth Rogen and James Franco’s upcoming movie, “The Interview,” right? The whole premise of the film is that the two–who play a talk show host and the producer–are scheduled to interview Kim Jong-un, the laughable leader of North Korea. In short, they wind up being recruited by the CIA to assassinate the North Korean despot.

It sounds hilarious, right? I think it’s going to be a riot. Rogen and Franco are always funny as shit. However, not everyone thinks this movie is going to be a great comedy, and as you might have guessed, Kim Jong-un and his henchmen are pissed.

I guess the guy can’t take a joke. Yeah, the movie is pretty much making a mockery of him and his country, but so what? In America, our leaders are subject to criticism and jokes at their expense all the time. They just deal with it like it’s part of the job. Hell, that’s probably one of the reasons that makes America so great. Maybe you ought to take some notes, North Korea.

Unfortunately, Kim Jong-un isn’t just pissed. Actually, he’s really pissed. So pissed, in fact, that he’s threatening war over the release of the film.

From BBC News:

A North Korean foreign ministry spokesman said in state media that the movie’s release would be an “act of war”.

Really? An act of war? Come on, man. It’s just a joke.

The North Korea spokesman was quoted by the state KCNA news agency as saying: “Making and releasing a movie on a plot to hurt our top-level leadership is the most blatant act of terrorism and war and will absolutely not be tolerated.”

Oh, it won’t be tolerated? What are you going to do about it, North Korea?

“If the US administration allows and defends the showing of the film, a merciless counter-measure will be taken,” the spokesman was quoted as saying.

A merciless counter-measure? Are you fucking serious, dude? For one thing, it’s a comedy. It’s a big joke. Additionally, does North Korea actually think anyone is afraid of it? That country is the world’s biggest shit-talker. It’s all bark and no bite. We sanction the shit out of North Korea and nothing happens, but now there’s a comedy being made about its leader and all hell breaks lose? Give me a break.

I don’t know about you, but I personally can’t wait for this movie to come out. Those two potheads Rogen and Franco make some funny movies, and I can already tell this is going to be one of them. Not only will it be funny, but it’ll piss off the head of the most evil country in the world. I’ll be damned if it doesn’t win Best Picture.
