Norway Is Sending Their Punisher Troops To Help Fuck Up ISIS

Norway is so sick and tired of hearing about ISIS that it’s sending its most feared — and most famed — “Punisher” troops (AKA the Telemark Battalion) to northern Iraq. The troops use the famous skull logo from the Marvel comic character “The Punisher.” Chris Kyle was also known for this logo. These guys don’t fuck around, either. They have been known to strike fear into opposing foes — probably stemming from their Viking ancestry.

About 50 soldiers from the Telemark Battalion will head to Iraq in early April, where they will help train Kurdish soldiers to become ISIS killing machines.

From Daily Mail:

Around 50 soldiers from Telemark will be heading to the city of Irbil in northern Iraq to train Kurdish forces to help them in their fight against Islamic State, the Norwegian ministry of defence has confirmed. It is thought the mission will begin in early April.

Just how tough are these “Punisher” troops from Norway? They are pretty vicious. Don’t take my word for it, however. Let Charles Stanley, a former American soldier who provided logistics to these guys for a Bosnia mission, tell you just how much ISIS should fear these men.

“ISIS should fear them for sure. They didn’t hold back in work or play and when they went to the task of battle that was all of the business they cared for until the mission was completed,” said Stanley. He also noted their assistance will be a huge asset to Kurdish troops in battling the extremists.

‘This well-trained and disciplined unit of Norwegian soldiers would be able to make very short work of any ISIS soldiers they encountered.’

It also helps that these guys are notorious for their hatred of the Taliban. If you remember, these are the same guys who spray-painted the skull on homes of suspected Taliban members back in 2010. I have a feeling that we’ll be seeing a lot more skulls in the near future. Go get ’em, boys.

Adding “punished” in front of anything makes it that much more intimidating. Best of luck to our Norwegian brethren.

They’re only going to train the Kurds. Not “fuck up” ISIS. Read your damn sources before you write.

    Also, fuck ISIS

We sent a couple thousand “advisers” to Vietnam. They have 50 soldiers landing in Iraq. It takes about 4 of these blokes to run through an army of ISIS sand-naggers, but to run OPs with only 50 guys? That’s a bit of a stretch. You need infill and exfill, sitrep, command, and, shit, I’m not the most qualified to talk about this, so I’ll take my laps if I’m wrong, but it seems like too much for Norway to risk.

There’s nothing like the free world uniting against the most hated terrorist group in the world. Godspeed.

Yeah but our sissy ass president won’t send any troops. I’m sure it’s a lot easier for me to say that, not being in the military, but jesus fuck Obama. Open your fucking eyes.

unfortunately it all boils down to politics. Serving the people is now “serving your party to keep your job”

He drafted a war declaration and it wasn’t passed. The republicans don’t want him over there.

Everyone country, no matter how small, should send at least one soldier in solidarity.

I don’t think a tribal warrior from Lesotho would do much in the fight against ISIS.

Send them and a couple SEAL Teams in mixed with a couple of Ranger units and that should send ISIS running back to their huts
