I think its hilarious reading these comments watching everybody argue about this stuff. We all clearly come from wealthy areas that keep out GDIs.
But for anybody who wants to keep it going, I just compared my hometown’s demographics to Buckhead, Alpharetta and all the other places listed here. my hometown shits on these places. the average home value in my city is actually 6 times higher, the incomes are almost tripled and I know the country clubs are better(we’re hosting the us open this year)
With that said….
Alpharetta is not and will never be a cool or frat place to live. Yes there is a good amount of money there but that shit is a dime a dozen around the area (Cobb, roswell(historic roswell is cool), whatever).
Johns Creek is a little cooler. Its a city that pretty much follows the chattahoochee from the sugarloaf area to 285, hitting every country club and golf course on the way down, and ya there is a good amount money there, probably somewhere in the middle of the top ten in the state. Its about 95 percent new money, and it still fucking sucks. It is not in the least cool or frat or whatever, just got some money and theres some pretty good golf. As far as GA goes, the lacrosse is pretty good, but nothing compared to buckhead. Anybody thats not from the area pretty much just groups in with alpharetta, its not the same but fuck it i can see what they mean. Oh and ya there are a good bit of GDIs.
Buckhead is a bad ass place to live. The houses are old, classy, and the most expensive per square foot outside of Sea Island/Some parts of Savannah. Downtown is a young crowd and has cool bars. Westminster/Lovett/Pace are all the same shit in my opinion and after playing with a bunch of the guys from the schools they pretty much agree-they are all nice and expensive, a lot of the people suck, and the kids love the blow.Im pretty sure crime isnt that big of a problem for the folks off 5 paces, i dont know where thats coming from.Damn this shit is long.

For the fucking ignorant fucks that are shitting on public schools, where the fuck do you want me to go? Blessed Trinity? Greater Atlanta Christian? Id rather be home schooled. The public school Im zoned for is really nice, 95 percent white, great golf team, and everyone more or less has money. Ever heard of Mountain Brook High School or Highland Park High school? If you haven’t, your are not shit. But yes your schools are nicer, congratulations.Im not saying to post Johns Creek High School on this site saying that its such a bad ass school. Wesleyan is pretty nice, but the kids are lame. I went to Marist for lower school, no fucking lacrosse.
To the piece of shit that said there are no clubs outside of the perimeter, go FUCK yourself. How fucking ignorant are you. I think the fat sign outside of my athletic club that says site of the 2011 PGA Championship speaks for it self. Can i see your sign? The one that says Tiger, Fat phil, and, jesus himself, Bubba watson will be living and playing golf in your town for the weekend? Your a joke. Your dads great great grandfather might of started Coke. But your are a fucking joke. Any respected golfer in Buckhead would love to (and probably has) spend a sunday playing the Atlanta Athletic Club.
Sea Island seaside course is the best in the southeast.Hands down.
The kids that post something like Alpharetta,GA TFM on this site probably come from families that arent from GA. There are some respectful families in these towns though. The kids of these families stay quiet because they no whats what. Ya my families money is only a couple of generations old, but its still gotten us a house on Burton next to Saban and a house 30a down the street from Glavine. If you dont at least respect that, there is a another level of stuck-up I am not even aware of.
Money is money if it new or if it’s old. It’s still all worth the same. GA is just a Frat state all together, some places are more Frat then others. Athens though has to be the most Frat cause it actually has Frats and UGA is the number one party school in the country.
We can argue about which town is better, but between the Atlanta Braves, The Masters, the number one party school in the nation, Saint Simons Island, and the Georgia Bulldawgs, i’d say we can all agree that Georgia is the greatest state in the south, and is therefore the frattiest state on God’s great earth.
