One Venezuelan Anti-Government Protester Hates Duke, Wants You To Rush Delt Sig

Given the emphasis on the above sign, you could make a case that this protester actually hates Duke more than he hates his oppressive and corrupt socialist government. I mean, all he said was “Fuck” his government. But Duke? That’s “FUCK” in all caps with three underlines. You know your school is littered with douche bags when some perpetually oppressed third-world kid still hates it more than he hates the very entity making every day of his life a living hell. Maybe take a step back and have a good look at yourselves, Duke.

As far as why the kid wants us to rush Delta Sigma Phi, apparently his brother is a member of the chapter at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, which also explains the whole “FUCK Duke” part of the sign. Regardless of why “Rush Delta Sigma Phi” is on the sign, any chapter that is both anti-communism and anti-Duke is pretty fantastic in my book. According to the protester holding the sign, who explained himself on the Overheard at UNC thread where this picture is posted, he made the sign as shout out to his brother at UNC. He also let the UNC kids reveling in the anti-Duke hilarity know that shit is actually getting pretty real down there.

Yikes. Good luck down there, bud. The thoughts of all us freedom loving, Duke hating Americans are with you.
