Panthers Fan Left Hanging Refused To Go Down Without Slapping Five

Not many people outside of Charlotte were particularly interested in the Panthers vs. Dolphins preseason showdown at Bank of America Stadium in uptown Charlotte on Saturday night.

For those who tuned in for what turned out to be a sloppy game between two middle-of-the-road NFL teams, the highlight of the whole thing might have been this dude going in for a high-five and getting mercilessly rejected by his friend.

I’m a little confused why his buddy went with the outside-in method of high-fiving, but to leave a friend hanging like this is cruel. If you take away anything from this video, it’s this: Never give up. It might hardly be a memorable Luke Kuechly tackle, but damn it you are proud of 59 for getting in there and making a play. You slap five to celebrate the little things, and that is important in this life.

The good news is that this guy will not enter the regular season empty-handed. The Panthers went on a hardcore Twitter search for him, and will hopefully reward him in season with a redemption high-five at midfield with Cam Newton, Luke Kuechly, and Charles Johnson all at the same time — making it the most powerful high-five in history.

Never accept the awkwardness of getting brushed over for a high-five. Swallow your pride and demand to get yours.
