30-30 is probably the biggest GDI rifle in the world. It screams, “I’m not a real hunter and I bought this at a pawn shop after trading in a few video games.”
A .308 or .30-06 is much too light of a round for my property. I use my 30-30 or 44 due to the high level of thick brush in certain bedding areas and around our beaver pond. A .308 or .30-06 couldn’t make it through some of those situations.
We can go back and forth on everything from the various 6mms to 270win (Jack O’Connors favorite) to the 300WM. In the end, as long as you can hit what you’re aiming at, who cares? I also must say that while rifle hunting is great, nothing beats taking game with a magnum revolver. Handgun hunting with a lip of Cope is FAF.
Worst and cheapest deer rifle in the woods. You won’t hit dick past 200 yards, and horrible stopping power. That gun was good before people used scopes. I bet your scope is GDI as shit like some cheap Simmons, or a Bushnell.
Seriously? Now we are trashing fellow fraternity men based on the caliber of their deer rifle? You must be a worthless piece of horse shit if you have to result to this so you can sleep at night.
Look at me I dip

14 years ago at 12:40 pmYou sir, are an Idiot and probably hunt on perfectly groomed, fenced in, deer farms.
14 years ago at 12:50 pmIf someone can tell me the advantage of a 30-30 over a .30-06 or .308 then please inform me.
14 years ago at 1:12 pm^^True gentleman is right. I hate motherfuckers who do that.
14 years ago at 1:13 pmI hate deer farms, dropping 10-15 grand to take a 12 point seems stupid. I enjoy hunting my 800 acres in Georgia.

14 years ago at 1:54 pmWho gives a shit what type of firearm you use to hunt with, as long as you kill the game and have meat in the freezer at the end of the day.
14 years ago at 2:10 pmGame. Set. Match.
14 years ago at 2:23 pmIt’s not the weight of the round that matters, it’s the fact that it has a round nose. 30-.06 round nose in 225 grain are the way to go.
