Penn State Pi Kapp Goes Down Swinging, Films Rap Video During “We Just Got Shut Down” Party
Last month, Pi Kappa Phi was placed on a three-year suspension for multiple violations, including: hazing, disorderly conduct, violating suspension terms during the investigation, and hosting unregistered social events. While the allegations and suspension are no laughing matter, the way in which they went out was kind of comical.
Even though IFC banned Daylong, it happened anyway, and Pi Kapp was going to go out with a bang. During their Daylong, which is a huge day party held by fraternities, Pi Kapp decided to film a rap video with rappers Tokes and Doug Right.
Now, I don’t know much about either rapper because I’m more into the Texas Country scene, but I can say that the video is A+ quality. A voiceover from a news anchor saying “these men aren’t leaving quietly” starts the video out, giving us a good foreshadowing into the video’s contents. The party spilled into the streets where cops tried to shut it down, so a nice “fuck the police” line was essential.
The best line of the whole thing comes at around 1:18 when the rapper takes a nice dig at Kappa Delta Rho for their creepy and appalling pictures of passed-out, naked girls. The rapper says, “Fuck that KDR shit n***a, I ain’t gotta get her passed out to take a pic n***a.”
Here is the video:
Two former members of Pi Kappa Phi produced and directed the whole music video. The rappers, however, are not brothers in the fraternity. Overall, it looks like a pretty good time. Pi Kapp should enjoy it now because they gone.
It seems that a few brothers are being charged with criminal mischief stemming from property damage to the house.
From Onward State:
Eight brothers were charged with criminal mischief for property damage to their house on E. Fairmont Ave, according to the State College Police Department.
Idiots..
