Phi Gamma Delta At Texas Tech Suspended For Nudie Pic

Nudie pics are a dangerous game, and the Phi Gamma Delta chapter at Texas Tech is finding that out the hard way. FIJI has been suspended for the upcoming fall and spring semesters due to a former pledge taking what I assume was a titty pic last school year.

From KCBD:

One of the largest fraternities on the Texas Tech campus, Phi Gamma Delta, is now suspended. It comes after a photograph of a partially nude female Texas Tech student was taken by a man who pledged the fraternity in the fall of 2013.

The University’s disciplinary committee issued the suspension. Right now Phi Gamma Delta is under a recruitment ban, meaning they can’t accept new members this school year.

The kid rushed last fall, but according to FIJI, he never became an initiated brother. The photo was taken during spring break in Alabama the following semester.

He sent out the photo to several of his friends in FIJI, along to friends in other fraternities across campus, too.

An alumnus of the fraternity is now trying to get fellow brothers who have graduated to raise $100,000, which would help with the financial burden caused by not accepting new members for the next year. $2,800 has been donated so far.

  1. Big XII Frat

This is a prime example of a large university administration targeting a single fraternity after being pressured by the parents of one of their young students. This chapter shouldn’t be punished because some floozy was “actin’ a fool” one drunken Spring Break night. Kid wasn’t ever actually a FIJI, just some dumbass pledge.

Main word going around is that she was underage. Only reason they cared about the pic.

Suspending a whole chapter cause one pledge sent a tit pic from Spring break? Am I missing something here?

Recruitment bans can be appealed and are prohibited nationally, don’t recall the exact document.
