Purdue Pi Kappa Phi Is Doing Big Things, Biking Across Country To Raise Money For Charity

With nothing but a hope, a group of willing fraternity gentlemen, and some bikes, the members of Pi Kappa Phi from around the country began a 3,500 mile journey from San Francisco to Washington D.C. with hopes to raise money for The Ability Experience — a charity designated for helping people with disabilities.

On Thursday, they pushed their way through Chicago, where one member stopped in for an interview with “Good Day Chicago” to discuss their current journey which has already raised $600,000.

Always great to hear about these kinds of stories coming from the Greek community. You won’t hear about it covered on any site that’s agenda is to bash fraternities and sororities, but the reality is that tons of us out there are doing great things. $600K is an astonishing amount of money to raise for a philanthropy, and they aren’t done yet.

Keep up the good work, guys. Wish y’all nothing but the best on the rest of your journey and hope you can push that number close to the $1M mark.
