PIKE House At U Of Arkansas To Undergo Ridiculous $6.9 Million Renovation (Video)
The chapter house arms race amps up in Fayetteville, Arkansas as Pi Kappa Alpha releases its plans to renovate its house. The price tag: $6.9 million. And remember, this is a renovation, not a brand new construction. This isn’t like buying your girlfriend a pair of full C-cups to match the rest of her already great body. This is a complete, head-to-toe, reconstructive overhaul — from lazy-eyed Jessica in your bio lab to Jessica Biel.
According to Pike, this will be the most expensive housing project at the university to date. The house will sleep 68 members, and if the construction goes as planned, they will be able to move into their new digs by the fall of 2014.
The chapter president explains that the project is the result of incredible alumni support, per The Arkansas Traveler.
“The decision to renovate the house was squarely on the alumni’s shoulders,” said David Bella, Pi Kappa Alpha president. “The house was starting to show its age, so the alumni decided to begin a fundraising campaign that has worked out very well. Alumni teamed up with the university to solicit donations from our great alumni base and have done a really great job.”
Great stuff. Great work.
So, what does a $6.9 million renovation budget get you? Set to the tune of Ted Nugent’s “Stranglehold,” which clearly takes this house to the next level, it gets you this:
Personally, I’m not a fan of modern architecture; I’ve always been a traditionalist in that sense. However, I’d be lying if I said this house rendering doesn’t look amazing. All the windows are concerning, however. I’d recommend budgeting for a high window/glass replacement cost. It could get ugly. I’d also recommend blasting “Stranglehold” on a loop inside and outside the house at all hours of the day. It makes it so much sweeter.
Finally, I’d like to bring attention to the below frame from the video. So funny. We’ve got some guy spitting game at a chick in his room. He’s got the classic Blutarsky poster on the wall and the golf clubs casually displayed under it. We all know this guy, don’t we? My first reaction is to label him a try-hard, but then take a look at his pants! Capri cargos?!

Enjoy the house, guys. It looks great.

“incredible alumni support” even though the project has been held up for two years from lack of funding, theyve been showing that video to kids during rush since summer 2011, as it has already been said, fuck pike
12 years ago at 11:21 amSame shit Pike does at my school, “look at what our house will look like, once its built of course”. They’ve been showing off the plans for their house since 2011 as well.
I will raise you one and say; girls who like girls are dykes, boys who like boys are Pikes.

12 years ago at 11:35 amCan’t wait to see the finished, REAL product.
12 years ago at 11:44 amThere seems to be a disturbing lack of a windowless basement with bottles smashed on the floor in these renderings.
