Plan On Getting A Musical Act For Your Rager? Here’s How Much It’ll Cost

Recently, it seems fraternities have been going pretty “hard in da paint” when it comes to booking musical acts for parties. I guess brothers who have sweet speakers and a soundboard just don’t suffice anymore. A prime example was a few weeks ago when we posted a video of Waka Flocka Flame performing at a party thrown by Auburn’s Pi Kappa Phi. It looked like a grand old time, but exactly how much did they drop to see girls twerk to a live rendition of “No Hands”?

Now, thanks to the booking agency Degy Entertainment, we know this potentially ran Pi Kapp roughly anywhere from $20,000 to $25,000. Degy compiled a pretty impressive list of performance fees for both megastars and washed up one-hit wonders alike.

Here are some notable artists and their performance fees.

•Bruce Springsteen: More than a million. Needless to say, you’re not booking The Boss anytime soon.
•Drake: $300K to $500K. Although, he does seem to jump on bandwagons faster than you can say “trophies,” so maybe just win a few more intramural basketball games.
•Bob Dylan: $150K to $300K. Maybe spend this money on a time machine and go back to when you could actually understand the words he sings.
•Chingy: $20K to $30K. “Holidae In” and “Right Thurr” are always crowd pleasers.

You can see the rest of the artists’ fees HERE for your potential booking and viewing pleasure.

Definitely not that accurate, or this is just the managers first quote. You can get a ton of these guys for much cheaper.

  2. Colonel James Beam

Afroman will perform for $5k, an oz of weed, a bowl of green m&ms, a bottle of hennesy, and fried chicken from some chain (I believe churches)

I would just get a Peruvian flute band to jam out for the price of lunch at Sbarro.

If you’ve ever been a social you’ve most likely received a list like this. And they are always more than the artist actually costs.
