All of you guys need to stop complaining and shut up. If there was a TFM just like this but only pertaining the South, all you guys would be saying hoorah and taking pride of where you’re from. And in those moments you Southerner’s do take pride, no one from the North intrudes or insults you guys. But because someone from the North takes pride from where they are from, all you guys are being panzies and bashing this TFM.
Mind you that 3/4’s of the comments here are from angry Southerners. Why? Who the fuck knows, maybe it’s something in your water that you’re drinking. Literally 1/2 of all TFM is something about the South, and most of the times no one from the North bashes it. Once in a blue moon something comes up about being proud of the North, and it’s a surge of angry southern comments of chaos, like a rally of mexicans jumping over the border.
Hey I’m all for it if you’re proud of the South and where you guys are from. But the difference is that a person from the South gets all butt hurt and angry when someone from the North doesn’t agree with you or is proud of living above the Maxon-Dixon line. On the other hand a Yankee doesn’t give two shits or a fuck whether a Southerner bashes on us. That’s why we never intrude on your prideful moments, we don’t give a shit. On the other hand you guys become a bunch of angry children when little things like this happen.
It’s Yankee culture that we don’t give a two fucks about small things. Go to the city and you’ll bump into 200 people walking on the streets that won’t stop and say sorry. It’s because of this self- reliance, independence, and not giving a fuck about others is what allows us to progress ahead and do things more important, like making money and a living, than debating about whose more proud of where they’re from.
Yankee culture teaches us to be independent, reliant, looking out for yourself first before others, and ignoring others who try to bring you down by always trucking forward. This is probably why most people from the South perceive Northerners as rude, no it’s us looking out and keeping to ourselves.
I’m not saying this is how all Yankee’s act, this is my perception on some parts of the North close to the cities. There are 400+ likes with probably 10 pro-northern comments on this TFM. On the other hand there’s 150+ anti-yankee comments. This is a prime example of Yankee’s keeping to themselves.
agreed. raised in PA, go to school in the south, and i cannot imagine a better way to explain our lifestyle. on the other hand, not all southerners are like that, just the ones in fraternities that think they are entitled to something. quite honestly, a lot of the gdis down south are more gentleman-like and lady-like than us greeks. I go to an SEC school, so its not like this is exclusive to some small crappy college, but yeah, a lot of the male and female greeks are super insecure and reliant on each other for self-esteem. on the other hand, our parties kick ass and there are plenty of laid back guys who are fun as hell to be around.

I’m not from New Jersey or the North, but some of you guys sound real ignorant calling this guy a guido just because he’s from NJ. Those shitheads are a very small portion of the population that makes the entire region look bad. Some of you need to wake up, the South isn’t the only part of the country that embodies the fraternity lifestyle, there are parts of the Northeast which are FaF such as Cape Cod, Princeton, Newport, the Hamptons, etc
As a Northerner who has actually crossed the Mason-Dixon line, I love the South. I got stranded at a gas station in the middle of NC and got nothing but hospitality. But there are ignorant and inconsiderate people everywhere. Being a gentleman is the most important part of calling yourself a fraternity man. An asshole is an asshole, whether rich or poor, whether Northern or Southern. Our founders were all gentlemen who left behind something they started with their own time and effort. Go continue that legacy instead of whining about who’s FaF or NF on some internet comment thread.
I’m in Pennsylvania right now. It fucking sucks, the people fucking suck, the traffic blows… you see where I’m going with this? I came up here with an open mind and that turned bad real quick. If you think the NE is frat, then you need to visit a chapter in the south and refigure your opinion. There are more lugz, flatbills and jorts (in the same outfit) than the SEC has football fans.
