We need something to celebrate. The constant condemnation is becoming tiring, repetitive, and quite agitating. The past 48 hours have been nothing but a constant barrage of idiots doing idiotic things. Thankfully, we can all give Purdue a big pat on the back this morning. The school’s Greeks look to be the group that is going to bring us out of this endless avalanche of stupidity.

Purdue’s Zeta Tau Alpha held its annual Big Man on Campus event last Friday, and it appears to have been a monumental success. The annual event features an assortment of fraternities putting on performances for the chance to win the title of Big Man on Campus. Alex Isgrigg of Delta Tau Delta won this year’s Big Man on Campus title, but from the looks of this video, there was no shortage of incredible entertainment at the event.

At the end of the night, the grand total of all fundraising was announced. Thanks to the incredible Greek community and its sponsors, the men and women of Purdue were able to raise over $2,500 more than last year’s total.

From The Exponent:

The awaited moment of the night came when the grand total of all fundraising was announced. The total came to $124,568.60, which surpassed the 2014 total by over $2,500. Different chapters participated in fundraising events such as Skip-a-Meals and penny wars.

Six figures straight to breast cancer research. That’s a helluva job, guys. It feels good to finally have the opportunity to write an article that isn’t detrimental to Greek life. Keep it up.

“Tiring, repetitive, and quite agitating” sounds like almost every thing on this website

TFM is leading with a story about a 65 year old woman singing a rap song. It’s not just the media that are page view whores. A website dedicated to Greek Life is too busy killing a story about the sky being blue to be bothered with promoting the positives of Greek Life.

This and the fact that in under about a day $56,000 was raised for the black OU SAE cook. Won’t show that part either.

While the liberal media will choose to slide right over this incredible story, I’d like to say that I’m proud of the Greek community. Indeed, these last few days have hard on us all, but we will overcome the setbacks. This is a step in the right direction, and I can’t wait to hear about all the good we do throughout the year. Great job at Perdue guys!

Let’s avoid the generalization of SAE. This was an isolated incident. We hate when the whole Greek community is generalized – so let’s avoid doing it to ourselves, champ.
