The funny thing is that these people are not “extremists” at all. They are doing exactly what the Bible tells all christians to do; preach. Anybody parading under the title of christian who isn’t going into the streets to spread the word of god is doing it wrong and frankly, lying to themselves.
There is a difference between bearing witness as we are called to do as good Christians and going out and casting judgement upon others where it is not your place to give it. Yes, sharing the word of God is an essential part of being a Christian. If you truly believe that those without faith are going to Hell, then how much would you have to hate people to not try and share the word of God with them. Yet, if we are supposed to share the good news, is that what they are really doing? I don’t mean we should sugar coat it and leave out the let downs like accountability of sin, but who are they to say that someone is going to Hell? That’s not an assessment that they can make; only God can, meaning that it is an insult to Him for them to assume that they can call people sinners. Take the story of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector. Those who exalt themselves (as do these “saved people”) shall be humbled while those who are humble shall be exalted. Aren’t all we admitted sinners just being humble about the realities of what we, as humans, do and are expected to do?
Green lawns as far as the eye can see. Good work gentleman.
