Remember Kendall Jones’ Photos Of Wild African Game She Killed? Facebook Removed Them

Last week, we brought you the story of Kendall Jones, the 19-year-old Texas Tech cheerleader who hunts wild African game and posts photos of her kills on Facebook. The photos show Jones happily posing with dead elephants, rhinos, leopards, hippos and more. The internet lost its shit over it, because the internet loses its shit over stuff.

Had the animals shown in the photos been dove, quail, hogs or whitetail deer, would people have created such a shit storm over it? No. But these are huge, beautiful, and sometimes rare animals. According to Jones, however, she does not hunt endangered animals. Photos of her posing with rhinos had people up in arms, but she points out on Facebook that the only rhinos she’s killed are white rhinos, and they are not endangered (I looked it up – she’s right).

Jones explained that much of her hunting is actually done in good conscience, claiming the money from the very expensive hunting tags she purchases go toward conservation efforts. People didn’t care. A petition directed at Mark Zuckerberg pleaded to have the photos removed. It recently surpassed 330,000 signatures.

Facebook has responded. The photos have been removed. In a statement, Facebook claims Jones’ account “promotes poaching of endangered species, the sale of animals for organized fight or content that includes extreme acts of animal abuse.”

Zuck’s words, not mine.

It is his toy, he can do as he pleases with it. But, fuck that little piece of shit. Promotes poaching? Exactly how in his warped brain did he reach that conclusion?

Promotes “the sale of animals for organized fight” was the part i was more confused about. What the fuck is he talking about?

Jesus christ guys those are both clearly just excerpts from Facebook’s user agreement. It’s not like these are quotes from an emergency zuckerberg press conference.

They don’t really. I think he just wanted to cite something kind of similar so he’d have an excuse to take them down after the outrage.

While I don’t particularly have any interest in this, there is absolutely nothing wrong with what she is doing.

I’d drag my testicles through 10 miles of an elephant boneyard, then lay them flat as a wildebeest stampede storms through, just to catch a whiff of her pubic hair shavings.

Usually the animals that are in zoos were the offspring of poached parents. They wouldn’t have made it in the wild without their parents. At least they give them food and shelter rather than leaving them to die.
